Adetex.CS (Adetex Circular Solution)

We have realised that we had to drastically change the way our textile supply chains operate if we are to continue our economic growth without damaging our next future generations. Currently, the global textile supply chain uses different data management system/s, making difficult the exchange use of data by all the actors of the textile supply chain.

Adetes.CS is working on development of a digital solution (cloud-based solution/associated software) to address the current lack of data access, data exchange and data integration within the global entire textile supply chain actors (designers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, consumers, recyclers), to improve its sustainability, circularity, transparency, efficiency and resilience.

In addition, there is a need to capture more data from the entire (e.g. from manufacturing to end of life) lifecycle of textile-based products. This means that there is a need to seamlessly embed permanent 'digital IDs' (e.g. via RFID) in each and every textile-based product that is manufactured, to be able to identify and trace each of them along the entire textile supply chain over their entire lifecycle. The problem is that, current 'digital Identification tags' (used in some retailers and warehouses to trace/identify garments) cannot fulfil this need because they are not seamlessly integrated/embedded into textile-based products (i.e. they are removable tags/labels), so once these are removed by the retailer or the consumer after purchase, the textile based products cannot provide any information/data to the supply chain actors anymore, and they become literally 'invisible'.

This solution will define a digital solution which will be based on 2 parts (RFiD Thread® + cloud-based solution/associated software). The novel-awarded and patented washable 'RFiD Thread®' will be seamlessly embedded in each garment permanently over its entire lifecycle, thus allowing the identification and traceability of each garment from manufacturing to end-of-life (not consumers personal details). This data will be 'read', exchanged/managed/analysed through the other part of the solution (the cloud-based system/associated software).
